As a therapist, I offer a nonjudgmental and affirming space where you can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and connection. I have experience working with anxiety, mood and emotion regulation, identity development, relational and attachment wounds, and trauma. I am rooted in humanistic and experiential practices, with a strong foundation in the Person-Centered Approach and Gestalt Therapy. I also incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment science, and polyvagal theory to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. This eclectic approach allows me to provide holistic care that addresses cultural, emotional, relational, and physiological aspects of well-being in a supportive and trauma-informed manner. Together, we'll work to empower you to embrace your true self, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful connections with yourself and those around you

My approach to counseling is founded on the belief that change happens through relationships, and a professional, therapeutic relationship is one of the ways we can work towards and achieve the changes we seek. I utilize a broadly humanistic method in counseling, employing person-centered counseling, existential therapy and mindfulness-based practices tailored to each client's needs and goals. I work with clients ages 15+ in a number of different areas, and I strive to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for LGBTQIA+ folks to safely explore and express their identity, especially clients with religious trauma, as well as clients navigating weight stigma and eating or body image concerns. It is my goal to work with you in a warm, collaborative, and thoughtful manner, adapting to your unique needs. You are worthy of finding genuine connection with others, feeling at home in yourself, and living joyfully just as you are. Counseling can help you foster self-compassion, realize your worth, and empower you to be unapologetically yourself.
My personal interests include baking, reading, playing video games, and spoiling my tiny tabby cat Scuppers.

During my decade as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have helped clients of all backgrounds cope with trauma and improve their lives. My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, parenting concerns, and such women's health issues as infertility, maternal depression, and PCOS. My practice also concentrates on stress management and navigating issues related to one's family of origin. Cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness lie at the heart of my therapeutic approach. I value being present in the moment with an individual as they learn to cope with their struggle. Realizing that one size does not fit all, I emphasize a multi-culturally competent, humanistic, and person-centered approach that is goal-centered, strengths-based, and holistic. I am passionate about neurodevelopment and enjoy incorporating brain science into my work. I embrace the idea that a sense of humor can help in healing. Life can be difficult and traumatic. But I believe we have a saving grace: our innate wiring for connection. I consider a strong therapeutic relationship to be the foundation for positive change. I hope to build relationships that begin with an open mind and honest acceptance of where you are in life. You are worthy of the positive change you seek.
I am licensed in North Carolina and able to conduct virtual sessions for people who live in South Carolina:
